Apprentice Mechanic/Technician 

 Due to on-going growth within the group, we are now recruiting for an ambitious Apprentice Motor Mechanic/Technician to join our bright and modern showroom at Cork City Ford

Cork City Ford is a vibrant urban motor dealership . Established in 2006 we are the sole Ford Dealership in Cork City with 26 employees.

Cork City Ford has been awarded the Ford Chairman’s Award both in 2014 & 2016.  The Chairman’s award is Ford Motor’s Company most prestigious award for Sales and Service with the winners entering an elite group of top performing European Ford Dealerships .

 This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to pursue a career as a Vehicle Technician with a view to becoming a competent and fully trained with an internationally recognised qualification.

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:

• The ability to work well within a fast-paced environment.
• Further Education is desirable but not essential for the role.
• The candidate must have good initiative and be self-motivated.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Should have a strong interest in mechanics and the motor industry including new technologies and computer diagnostics.
• Be interested in problem solving.
• Be enthusiastic, punctual and a team player.
• The ability learn and take direction and carry out specific tasks.
• We will support your Apprenticeship through: 
• The Full training to manufacturer Master Technician Level.
• Trained to the highest level in mechanics and diagnostics on I.C.E and Electric Vehicles.
• Fully Certified by the E.T.B including periods of up to 6 months of full-time college education.
• Full Certification on Electric Vehicles and Diagnostics
• Excellent working conditions in a state of the art, heated and fully equipped workshop.
• One of the most technologically advanced apprenticeships due to the move to electrification and the training provided.
